The Bada Long Coat in velvet is the only coat you need. Made using hand- embroidered velvet fabric, it has a relaxed casual fit which can easily be elevated with a belt that comes in the package. Refer to our fit tip before ordering.  Due to the nature of the fabric no two jackets will ever be exactly the same in pattern placement and colours. 

  • Made using hand embroidered velvet fabric. 
  • Quilted with cotton wadding and lined with hand-block printed cotton.  
  • Comes with buttons, a belt and side pockets.

About the craft: Suzani is an embroidered  tribal textile that was traditionally used as decorative pieces and as dowry in Central Asian countries. The craft soon reached North India through trade routes where various forms of it are still practiced today. 

About the fabric: We have repurposed small batch  embroidered velvet fabric originally intended for bed spreads. A mid weight fabric with wool and cotton embroidery that is done on sewing machines,  each piece is one-of-a-kind. Small imperfections may be present which are a natural outcome of the handmade process and not faults. 

We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, dead-stock and handcrafted materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.

  • The model is 5' 7.5" tall and a UK size 10 wearing the M-L size.
  • Sleeves can be folded to reveal the contrast printed lining.
  • Check the garment measurements in the size chart to find your perfect size.

Small - Medium

  • Can fit UK size 6 - size 10.

Medium - Large

  • Can fit UK size 8 - size 12.

Large - Extra Large

  • Can fit UK size 10 - size 14.
  • Spot cleaning is recommended to preserve the fabric for longer.
  • Cold hand wash and line dry.
  • Do not machine wash. Do not tumble dry.
  • Dry clean only if needed.
