Brand Lab

Speciality: Hand embroidered Suzani.

Origin: Embroidered in Rajasthan, Tailored in New Delhi.

Made using a hand embroidered suzani bedspread, its flattering shape compliments most body types. A relaxed fit jacket with enough room for layering, it comes with a hand block printed cotton lining and side pockets. Refer to our fit tip before placing the order.  Due to the nature of the fabric no two jackets will ever be exactly the same in pattern placement and colours. 

  • Made using a hand embroidered suzani bedspread.
  • Quilted with cotton wadding and lined with hand-block printed cotton.  
  • Comes with buttons in front and side pockets. 
  • Relaxed fit.

About the craft: Suzani is an embroidered  tribal textile that was traditionally used as decorative pieces and as dowry in Central Asian countries. The craft soon reached North India through trade routes where various forms of it are still practiced today. 

About the fabric: We have repurposed small batch embroidered fabric originally intended for bed spreads. A light weight fabric with wool and cotton embroidery that is done on sewing machines,  each piece is one-of-a-kind. Small imperfections may be present which are a natural outcome of the handmade process and not faults. 

We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft and textiles. We only work with handcrafted materials to preserve remote crafts. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.

  • Sleeves can be folded to reveal the contrast printed lining.
  • This is a relaxed fit jacket.
  • Size up for a more relaxed fit and see the length with reference to your height.
  • Check the garment measurements in the size chart to find your perfect size.
  • Allow +/2 cm error on measurements due to difference in materials and the individual tailoring process for each pieces. We do not mass produce.

Small - Medium

  • Can fits UK size 6 - size 12.

Medium - Large

  • Can fit UK size 8 - size 14.

Large - Extra Large

  • Can fit UK size 10 - size 16.
  • Cold hand wash and line dry.
  • Do not machine wash. Do not tumble dry.
  • Dry clean only if needed.
