The Suzani Bahar Jacket is made using dead stock suzani embroidered fabric sourced from a small family run atelier in Jaipur, India. A straight fit jacket, it comes with a velvet lining making it suitable for winter. The embroidery is done using cotton & wool. A season-less and genderless piece, wear it with a jumper or knitwear of your choice for cooler weather.
About the craft: Suzani is an embroidered tribal textile that was traditionally used as decorative pieces and as dowry in Central Asian countries. The craft soon reached North India through trade routes where various forms of it are still practiced today.
About the fabric: We have used dead stock Indian Suzani fabric sourced from Rajasthan. A light weight fabric with wool and cotton embroidery done on sewing machines, each piece is one of a kind and is uniquely yours. Wear it proudly and treat it with care so it can be with you for many years to come.
