Origin: Bathinda, Punjab.

An oversize boxy fit jacket is made using hand-loomed fabric (hand-spun on manual spinning wheels and woven on manual looms) in villages in Punjab, North India. A bestseller, it combines handloom, hand-block printing with up-cycled details on the yoke. A season-less and genderless piece, layer away as it gets cooler. The fabric is home dyed, hand-spun and handwoven making it breathable even in the hottest season. Please refer to the Fit Tip details before ordering. Due to the nature of the fabric no two jackets will ever be exactly the same.

  • Hand-spun and handwoven pure double yarn cotton. 
  • Quilted with  cotton wadding with hand-block printed lining. 
  • Reversible with front zip and yoke details. 
  • Cropped boxy fit with pockets.
  • Craft preservation.

About the craft: Khes weaving is a textile weaving craft indigenous to rural Punjab in North India. A thick woven cloth, Khes fabric is primarily woven by women on pit looms. They weaved this fabric for their wedding trousseau for its multiple uses. Due to cheaper machine made alternatives, the craft has seen a dramatic decline over the years where looms have been stored away for years. 

About the fabric: Our handloom khes fabric is sourced from our founders ancestral village in North India where we have worked with traditional women weavers who had once given up weaving. A mid weight fabric reversible patterned fabric,  each piece is one of a kind and is uniquely yours. Wear it proudly and treat it with care so it can be with you for many years to come. 

We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, dead-stock and handcrafted materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.

  • The model is 5'7.5" and a UK size 10 wearing the L-XL size for an oversize look.
  • Sleeves can be folded to reveal the contrast printed linking
  • This is a boxy cropped oversize fit. Please see garment measurements below to find your perfect fit.
