The Suzani Terecotta Jacket is made using dead stock suzani embroidered bed covers sourced from a small family run atelier in Jaipur, India. A straight fit jacket, it comes with an open front featuring a mandarin collar and contrast cotton lining. The embroidery is done using cotton & wool. A season-less and genderless piece, wear it with a jumper or knitwear of your choice for cooler weather and ditch the layers through spring summer.
About the craft: Suzani is an embroidered tribal textile that was traditionally used as decorative pieces and as dowry in Central Asian countries. The craft soon reached North India through trade routes where various forms of it are still practiced today.
About the fabric: We have used dead stock Indian Suzani bed covers sourced from Rajasthan. A light weight fabric with wool and cotton embroidery done on sewing machines, each piece is one of a kind and is uniquely yours. Wear it proudly and treat it with care so it can be with you for many years to come.
