About the craft: Khes weaving is a textile weaving craft indigenous to rural Punjab in North India.  Handloom Khes is an extremely durable textile that is hand-spun, handwoven and often used as bed covers and winter wraps.  From the mid-19th century, mill and machine-made fabric began impacting the demand for Khes. Over time, once the sought-after skilled weavers in rural villages lost their weaving income.

About the fabric: Our handloom khes fabric is made in our founders ancestral village in Punjab,  North India where we have worked with traditional women weavers who had once given up weaving. A light/ mid weight fabric reversible patterned fabric,  each piece is one of a kind. Wear it proudly and treat it with care so it can be with you for many years to come.

We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, dead-stock and handcrafted materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.
