A perfect jacket made for layering is your ideal transitional piece. A boxy fit jacket, it comes with a hand block printed cotton lining and slide pockets. Refer to our fit tip before ordering.  Due to the nature of the fabric no two jackets will ever be exactly the same in pattern placement and colours. 

  • Made using hand patchworked and hanblock printed quilt.
  • Quilted with cotton wadding and lined with hand-block printed cotton.  
  • Comes with buttons in front and slide pockets. 
  • Cropped Boxy Fit with drop shoulders.

About the craft: Ajrakh is a 4500 years old ancient crafts from the region of  Pakistan, Sindh and Ajrakhpur in India. This intricate form of textile dyeing combines resist dyeing along with block printing to create patterns. 

About the fabric: We have repurposed a patch-worked ajrakh block printed quilt sourced from a small family run atelier in Bhuj, Rajasthan. A light/ mid weight patch work quilt was used.  Small imperfections may be present which are a natural outcome of the handmade and ageing process and not faults. 

We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, dead-stock and handcrafted materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.

  • The model is 5' 10" tall and a UK size 8 wearing the M-L size.
  • Sleeves can be folded to reveal the contrast printed lining.
  • This is a cropped boxy fit jacket.

Small - Medium

  • Can fits UK size 6 - size 10.

Medium - Large

  • Can fit UK size 8 - size 12.

Large - Extra Large

  • Can fit UK size 10 - size 14.
  • Spot cleaning is recommended to preserve the fabric for longer.
  • Cold hand wash and line dry.
  • Do not machine wash. Do not tumble dry.
  • Dry clean only if needed.
