An oversize boxy fit jacket is made using hand-dyed wool fabric made in the desert villages of Kutch, Gujarat. A bestseller, it combines hand-dyed, hand-block printing with up-cycled details on the yoke. A season-less and genderless piece, layer away as it gets cooler.  Refer to the Fit Tip before ordering. Due to the nature of the fabric no two jackets will ever be exactly the same.

  • Hand-dyed wool fabric.
  • Quilted with  cotton wadding with hand-block printed lining. 
  • Reversible with front zip and yoke details. 
  • Cropped boxy fit with slide pockets.
  • Craft preservation.

About the craft:  Bandhani is an ancient tie and dye craft that dates back to the 12th century. It is a resist dyeing method in which the artisans use their fingers to make tiny bindings to make small spots all over the cloth as per the design.  

About the fabric: Our hand-dyed bandhani wool fabric is made by women artisans from the Kutch region of Gujarat.  We sourced it from a generational bandhani atelier in the heart of the desert. 

We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, dead-stock and handcrafted materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.

  • The model is 5'7.5" and a UK size 10 wearing the M-L size.
  • Sleeves can be folded to reveal the contrast printed linking
  • This is a boxy cropped oversize fit. Please see garment measurements below to find your perfect fit.
