This Bandhani shirt with contrast yoke design is made in handwoven kala cotton from Badli, Gujrat. The process of Bandhani or tie and dye is a traditional technique of plucking the cloth and tying it to form a design. Bandhani on this garment has been done by artisans in Bhuj, Gujrat which was later dyed using Azo-free dyes in Bangalore. Subtle variations in patterns are natural to this process.
