Description:
Made from patchwork hand embroidered fabric sourced from Rajasthan, India. The jacket comes with a silk patchworked fabric and a kantha stitch running across the base fabric. Two side pockets and a zip make for a comfortable fit.
We work with dead stock, vintage or craft led fabrics to minimise waste and support remote artisan communities.
About the craft: Patchwork appliqué, a traditional textile art form in India, is practiced in regions like Gujarat, Rajasthan, and West Bengal, involving intricate stitching and layering of colourful fabric pieces to create stunning patterns on garments, quilts, and home decor items.
About the fabric: We have used deadstock applique fabric sourced from Rajasthan. A mid weight fabric with colourful cutwork, each piece is one of a kind and is uniquely yours. Wear it proudly and treat it with care so it can be with you for many years to come.
Note:
We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, dead-stock and craft led materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.
