Description:
Woven using traditional flat weaving techniques, this rug is light geometric addition to your home. The technique, 'panja' is indigenous to the central and north regions of India and get their iconic name from a heavy claw like tool called panja which is used to beat the weft in the warp on a vertical loom.
A craft slowly dying due to the rise of machine made rugs, we have partnered directly with NGO's and artisan communities who are on a mission to revive the technique of panja rugs.
Each rug is handwoven by artisans in rural villages and is uses azo free dyes.
