Introducing

The Founders

Shreya Mewara and Priyal Mewara, the founders of Ode to Odd started the brand with the aim of creating heirloom pieces with craftsmanship at the core. They tell us that the sole idea behind the brand is to celebrate the efforts behind the small acts. It can be the simple handmade brass buttons or hand-woven silk dress with your name embroidered on it. Everything culminates into a beautiful story that they tell through their clothing.

Meet the Makers

The brand has an inhouse team of 15 makers who are employed on a full time basis. In addition, they procure their textiles from artisan clusters across India.

The Process

The narrative begins in the small villages of India where the fabric is handwoven by the old generation weavers who have traditional family-run businesses. The brand works with craft clusters around India to sustain the authenticity of the craft. Their pieces are crafted from high quality natural and handwoven fabrics which culminates into simple and unpretentious design with a touch of human hand in every process.

Standards

High quality craftsmanship and sustaining livelihoods of the makers is at the core of the brands' mission. They not only use handwoven and handcrafted fabrics but also elavete heritage embroidery techniques providing employment even to embroiderers, a skill very few have today.
